This diptych explores movement, emotion, and dissolution within the artist’s ongoing Umbrella series. The two works stand in a close dialogic relationship with one another and only reveal their full impact when viewed together.
The female figures emerge from gestural, partly flowing layers of paint on a reduced, textured background. Dripping lines evoke rain while simultaneously fragmenting the form. While one part of the composition appears more structured and legible, the other increasingly dissolves into abstraction. This tension gives rise to a dynamic balance between control and dissolution.
The works are created through a historically grounded, unique approach to materials.
The technology itself is not the subject of this publication.
Each work exists as a single object and is exhibited privately.
